Schneider general store, Lamberts features modern Texas classics including expertly smoked barbecue, grilled prime steaks, simple yet elegant apps and mains, and homestyle sides. We are open daily for lunch and dinner.The two-story dining room features an open kitchen, two bars (with one of the best whiskey selections in town) as well as an outdoor patio surrounding our Mill Scale smoker. The design includes black leather banquettes and repurposed sinker pine table tops. The vibe is laid-back Austin and not afraid to get a little rowdy at times—especially when there's live music Upstairs at Lamberts. *If booking an outdoor table, please note that patio seating is weather contingent. Top Roe is a Yōshoko Japanese restaurant located in Austin Texas. Created by Executive Chef Paul Qui, there are two experiences offered under one roof: Top Roe Izakaya and Top Roe Hand Roll. Our 12-seat handroll counter operates on a first come, first served basis. Because no one likes a soggy handroll, Top Roe’s handrolls are exclusively offered at the handroll counter. The handroll counter also encourages a 30-to-45-minute dining experience to preserve the integrity of the freshly made handrolls. Top Roe’s menu in the izakaya-style dining room offers a small plate menu featuring agemono(fried dishes), yakimono (grilled dishes) and cold plates dictated by what’s available from Qui’s favorite local farms and meat and seafood purveyors. Stay for a while if you’d like! The izakaya dining room is designed to welcome longer dining experiences than its in-and-out handroll bar counterpart.

    The service was excellent. Our server had tasted every dish. She was able to give us her opinions and the feedback of customers to provide helpful answers to our questions about the menu. Even the food runner had detailed knowledge of the menu and, when dropping off our appetizer, recommended the rest of our meal. The food was top notch. The a la Brasa (half a chicken with sweet potatoes) was amazing. The margarita was great and not overly sweet. We really enjoyed our dinner!

    We went on Valentines night, which I’m sure is a challenge for any restaurant, but everything was perfect. Seated us on time, food and service were great. You do have to valet park here (was only $10 before tip) if you don’t try to find your own parking, but even that on such a busy night was really good. This is one of our go to restaurants and often bring our out-of-town family and friends here.

    Very reliable place to take family and friends. When are favorite table was taken we took to eating at the bar and still had a great meal and enjoyed our time. The manager was so great that not only did he acknowledge us but went to great lengths to make sure we were happy. Can't wait to go back!
