- AAustinSan Diego •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoLive bass and piano music set an amazing scene for a dinner date for two. Our server Kasha was very informative and attentive. A manager came by when we ordered a dessert that was no longer available so he gave us a free other desert and offered a free drink. Above and beyond. Food tasted great and was exactly as described. Ultimately the bill came in lower than it usually does at a restaurant of this magnitude. Would highly suggest others come to books and records.More infoBooks + RecordsPrice: Expensive• American• Banker's Hill•4.7
- RRene1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoLoved our 2nd year anniversary here. Took my girlfriend out for Valentine’s Day , first time at the restaurant not knowing what to expect. Was greeted warmly and walked to our seats within 3 minutes of arrival. I asked the front desk if they could do a cute decoration on our desert for our anniversary and they did! Expect to spend around 300-400$ if attending for valentines. Have never spent this much on food but it was definitely worth the experience! (Loved the oysters wish there would’ve been 3/4 instead of just2)More infoProvisional Restaurant at Pendry San DiegoPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown•4.6
- OOscarBaja California •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoPretty pricey, just about $300 for 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes and 2 drinks with tax and tip. The food and service were great though and the place is beautiful.More infoMadisonPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• University Heights•4.4
- SStephanieChicago / Illinois •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoVisiting our daughter from Chicago for the week. Mister As did not disappoint. The ambiance, food and service was exceptional. Izzy was engaging and attentive to assure our dining experience was extraordinary. We were seated w a beautiful view of the ocean. Everything was brought out at a timely manner and we never felt rushed. Best Caesar salad w every leaf laced w dressing . The king salmon Wellington was unlike any salmon I’ve ever tried. The braised short rib was flavorful n simply superb (not fatty). The rack of lamb along w lamb stuffed cherry tomatoes was also delicious. There r so many fine restaurants in SD, but this by far one to revisit for us.More infoMister A'sPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Downtown•4.9
- LleahSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoI made a booking for in the Bar area because my boyfriend and I wanted a more casual experience since we are both in the industry and just wanted to relax and enjoy. We put a note in our reservation that we were celebrating our V day early and on arrival to our table were greeted with a wonderful, spacious booth and rose petals that were so unexpected! Our server Eddie was energetic with a perfect balance of casual, Meeting us exactly where we were in our tempo of the evening. Him and his assistant were there exactly when we needed and not anymore We truly had such a better time than we even imagined, we were using a gift card but we will absolutely be back again. Food was wonderful but the service was even better, will be back for both. Thanks so much Eddie for a seamless dinner and the celebration dessert!More infoEddie V's - Seaport DistrictPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Downtown•4.9
