Popcorn for early snack. Dinner in the timeless Steamboat room. Excellent and diverse menu. Food was very good. After dinner had a classic 60s trio band playing. Great sound. Was a great Valentine’s Day dinner. Only draw back was the service. Specifically the bar. Took forever to get a drink. Bar tender was surly with limited sense of urgency and lots of attitude. This was when the bar crowd was small. As the evening progressed it become significantly worse. I can’t imagine how much revenue was lost by the establishment due to these inefficiencies. Overall our experience was very positive.More infoThe Griswold InnPrice: Expensive• American• Essex•4.6

From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. The food was just as impressive—each dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. We started with the tuna tartare and the calamari, which came with a delightful surprise—perfectly blistered shishito peppers that added just the right amount of heat. For our main course, the halibut was cooked to perfection, and the Brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. The cheese-laced mashed potatoes were an indulgent, creamy dream. Dessert was an espresso-infused crème brûlée that was both unexpected and absolutely delicious. Halyard exceeded our expectations in every way.More infoThe Halyard Restaurant at Sound ViewPrice: Expensive• American• Greenport•4.5
