Opened on December 13, 2014 (yes, 12/13/14!) in a historic building at the corner of Woodward and Canfield. The Huma Room on the second floor features half of a black 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood mounted behind the wall and an outdoor patio. Located on Woodward Ave, it's easy to jump on the QLine or walk down to Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, or Ford Field. HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love.     Overall Hopcat is a good value. Hopcat has a bar type menu. Good atmosphere. Good wait staff. The food did not take too long to come out and Hopcat does not break the bank! This is our second year in a row dining there for Valentines Day. Keep up the good work Hopcat!

    My husband and I went to Bakersfield on a double date with our friends on Valentine’s Day. Our reservation was at 7:30 PM and we were seated right away. The food was amazing and the ambiance was great too! I highly recommend! I don’t remember the names of the Tacos we got but I will attach a picture here!

    I booked the Eagle for dinner because my wife was craving soul food. We got the hush puppies, fried chicken, blt chicken sandwich, mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese and corn bread. The food was soooooooooo good. Best Mac & cheese I’ve ever had at a restaurant! We also got a peach drink (I can’t find it on the menu) and the Bourbon Punch, both were fantastic. We loved everything about our experience. Our waitress was also very good and just the right amount of attentive.

    Garrett was our server and he was very nice, he broke the menu down really well and easily and let us know what the specials were. The drinks we had were really flavorful and strong (in a good way). The Paella I had was really good, and so was the spicy lobster roll. My girlfriend had a spicy lobster pasta and her opinion it needed a little more heat and cream to the sauce. Overall, we had a really nice time and would definitely come back
