The Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch is a student-operated restaurant, serving both lunch and dinner. The restaurant is part of the Hospitality Management curriculum at The Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona. In the restaurant, students rotate weekly through various positions, including management, in order to learn all aspects of a hospitality operation. The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”.     The food was amazingly authentic and the wait staff was exceptionally attentive. We were looking forward to real Cuban food and we were not disappointed. We had both an anniversary and a birthday in our party, and it was just a beautiful evening. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back soon for the weekend buffet!

    The staff was super accommodating- we added a few more guests last minute and they were really helpful. Food (bacon wrapped filets) and dessert (bread pudding) were fabulous as always!

    It was a great place to have brunch. Our son ate all of his chicken and waffles;). Service was great and the people working were all so pleasant. They even give locals a discount. Will definitely come back for cocktails and events they have with or without kids.

    We ordered poke nachos, Brussel sprouts, potatoes, pulled pork sandwich, shepherds pie, salmon, jerk chicken, apple and coconut sorbet desserts. Everything was delicious! We are excited to come again. Service was great. In and out in about 1.5 hours.
