Il Terrazzo Carmine is located in historic Pioneer Square - nestled in an urban-renewed alley with entrances through the vintage lobby on First Avenue or through the delightful courtyard in the back. Since 1984, Carmine Smeraldo's classic Italian restaurant has been where the locals have chosen to return over and over again. This was our first time at the Pink Door, one night I will never forget. From the moment we arrived the ambience made the experience feel classy. The decorations and lighting throughout fit the mood. Customer service and special request were accommodated positively and without hesitation. The menu was simple but not lacking, wasn’t an overwhelming amount to decide nor was it too small to not have options. The food was made at a high level with attention to detail and exquisite taste. It is where I proposed to my now fiancé and provided a night I can’t forget and will be somewhere we come for our special days. Go to the pink door, you will not be disappointed.

The food was SO good. You can tell a real Italian chef works there. The calamari (not breaded) was tender and delicious. I got the beef and pork bolognese and it was the perfect portion size and very flavorful. It was perfect meal for such a cold day. I'm not sure what my husband got, but it was a pasta that was also delicious. The ambience was also so cozy. There's this beautiful wood paneling every where that made you feel like you were stepping back in time and there was a really good pianist that made it all feel luxurious. They also had a real Christmas tree which smelled amazing and added to the cozy feel. The host was so sweet, but the service (waiter) overall wasn't great. He rolled his eyes and walked away when I asked him if they could make a new york sour (which is a common and not difficult drink). It then took extra long to get the drink. Actually both the first and second drinks took well over 20 min (each) despite the restaurant being half empty. It's not a big deal, it just rubbed me the wrong way.

Kilig Filipino Restaurant – Pure Comfort and Kilig! Blessed to have dinner with the kids tonight, and wow, this gem in Chinatown is exactly what we needed. The food? Unreal. The vibes? Warm and inviting. The memories? Priceless. Here’s what we tried (and loved): ⭐ SINIGANG WINGS Think crispy, tangy, sweet, and a little sticky—all in one bite. That tamarind seasoning and hot honey glaze combo is a winner. Definitely a must-order! ⭐ LUCKY ME! CHILIMANSI! Childhood nostalgia, but elevated. Wheat noodles coated in chili crisp and calamansi, with just the right balance of sweet and tangy. Bonus points for the fresh veggies. ⭐ BULALO This beef broth is pure comfort in a bowl. Rich and full of collagen, the tender beef shank and marrow pair perfectly with corn, potatoes, and charred cabbage. You’ll want to sip on every drop. ⭐ OINK OINK Adobo reimagined—creamy, spicy, and totally unexpected with that coconut-habanero twist. The pork melts in your mouth, and the baby potatoes soak up all that rich, tangy goodness. This place doesn’t just serve food—it serves kilig in every dish. Can’t wait to come back and keep building memories here!
