Since the middle ages the elegant porticos of Bologna, Italy have a meeting place for the public as well as a place for business. Paolo Pedrinazzi (who is from Bologna) and Kat Escamilla, owners of the new Portico trattoria , bring this experience to Sebastopol. They even have monthly Regional dinner parties with live jazz.The setting includes an Italian fountain on their cozy patio. Portico offers light table service and counter ordering. Excellent Italian wines are sold in the restaurant at retail pricing; refreshingly unpretentious.     The staff here is wonderful and will do their best to accommodate. Dined here on Valentine’s Day weekend and despite being short staffed the service was wonderful and they made us feel at home. The Lobster Bisque and Halibut were our favorites.

    Portico offered a wonderful Valentine's couple's menu that included 4 delicious courses for an incredible value in this day and age. We really appreciate them as one of the few restaurants that isn't trying to gouge their customers. And the food is amazing. We keep coming back.

    The service, the food were superb! The only reason I gave fewer stars was about half of the indoor dining area has uncomfortable seating. Bankette seats were too high yet tabletops ridiculously low. The tables in the center had low chairs and high tabletops. The booths are great and the covered outdoor seating is high quality. Friendly and attentive wait staff and delicious food. This place is right around the corner from my house and I want this place to be successful for many years to come.
