- JJamieHawaii •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWow! I do not think I will be eating sushi anywhere else! This was so amazingly fresh, literally ALL of the fish melts like butter. The freshest of fresh! We started with the garlic edamame and Tuna Tostada, which was amazing. The garlic edamame sauce wash perfect. Then we ordered 4 rolls. I really loved the flavor of the Padre Roll, all protein, tons of fish....no skimping here. We also had the Del Mar, Yellowtail mania and King Salmon. All explosions of flavors. Was this way too much food for us and our daughter, yes....but we didn't care we wanted to try them all for our first time. We also found it cute that there was a heart post-it note on our table that said "Hi Jamie" when we got there. There was also a man singing some old school songs which was enjoyable! Go!More infoFish BoonPrice: Expensive• Sushi• Carlsbad•4.9
- PPollyvipSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoGreat over-all with excellent service. Would have preferred a more varied menu with a couple of additional entrees- possibly a chicken option? and possibly a vegan option. Ceasar salad, bread and soup were very good~ and the flavored butters. A little chilly, but not bad considering is so open air inside. Savanah was a wonderful server xoxoMore infoHavenPrice: Expensive• Californian• Encinitas•4.2
- CcamilleSan Diego •1 review4.0Dined on 29 Oct 2024We like the ambiance. The food is inconsistent though. Last time we were there, the Scarface pasta was much more creamy and had more mushrooms. this time not so much and the dish wasn't as warm as it could have been. Our waitress was nice but she forgot a few things and then overcharged us. We caught it and it was all good. I spoke to the manager ahead of time because we were perhaps planning a large party in the near future for wedding. She was expecting us but she never came over to the table to speak with us. Anyway, we'll probably be backMore infoGiaola Italian KitchenPrice: Moderate• Italian• Carlsbad•4.1
- EElizabethvipSan Diego •41 reviews5.0Dined on 27 Oct 2024We had been to Brickman's for dinner a few days earlier and had an amazing truffle burger and salad (we both had the same) followed by a chocolate chip cookie desert that was fabulous. So we decided to try brunch. This is a no frills menu of all your favorite things, burger, pancakes, a twist on eggs benedict but my husbands eyes widened at the size of the breakfast burrito which was fabulous and I couldn't have been happier with my smoked salmon toast on sourdough bread. It was scrumptious. Add to that a perfect peach bellini (not too peach and not too sweet) and we call this brunch a success!More infoBrickmans Restaurant & Bar (formerly The Grill)Price: Moderate• American• San Marcos•4.5
