- AangUtah •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe have been to the Pacific Beach location and loved it. This time we went to Del Mar and again, fabulous evening. The Pacific Beach location is quieter, more conducive to sipping a glass of wine from the excellent wine menu while one waits for the order to arrive. The Del Mar location is snappier, lively but still quite manageable in terms of having a conversation at the table. In both locations the staff is one of the main reasons to come! Very knowledgeable, we appreciated that our wait person was well versed in the menu and pairings and provided great suggestions. Super friendly, honestly, we felt like family. My suggestion! if you go, go big! We had a dinner guest that wanted a salad, a vegan pizza. Then when the cannoli (developed by a michelin star chef) arrived at the table, he couldn't resist and asked to have his pizza boxed up and got the cannoli instead!! Happiness all around. We are eating the pizza now, for lunch the next day. The food is top notch and i know i speak with authority... my family is from Aqueseria, a small village on Lake Como, i know Italian food! This place is a stand out, not to be missed. thanksMore infoAmbrogio15 Del MarPrice: Moderate• Italian• Carmel Valley•4.6
- OTOpenTable DinerSan Diego •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoCame to Pacific Coast Grill for dinner and had a great experience overall. Our server was friendly, attentive, and checked in often without being overbearing. The Hot Stone Surf & Turf was a fun, interactive dish, though a little anxiety-inducing making sure everything was cooked correctly. The ahi was definitely better than the filet. The shrimp dumplings were the favorite of the night—the texture was phenomenal, and the sauce was sweet and flavorful. The sea bass had a light sauce that complemented it nicely. The salmon was cooked well, though it could have used a bit more sauce to balance out the amount of rice. It leaned on the sweeter side, which matched the menu description. The lobster was cooked well though there was nothing remarkable about it. For dessert, the tempura bananas and apple pie were a perfect way to end the night. Definitely a great spot for a meal with a view! You should plan on valeting your car.More infoPacific Coast Grill - CardiffPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Cardiff By The Sea•4.8
