Lopez is one of the few chefs in Canada working with heritage corn from Mexico, making fresh masa in-house each morning and tortillas by hand with his grandmother's traditional tortilla press. The wine list specializes in sunshine-filled Catalan wines from a unique group of winemaker-friends from the Barcelona region. Alma is the Canadian destination for Catalan wines, with a deep cellar of back vintages and rare cuvées.
