   The She Shrimp Soup was perfect. I ordered the salmon medium rare. It was served to order! The 12 layer coconut cake kicked my butt. I tried, but could not Finnish it. Outstanding meal and service.

   My second visit and I loved it again! My server, Kaj, gave great recommendations and I had a great Kansas City strip. My dessert of the cocoanut cake finished my dinner beautifully!

   Venue and atmosphere are wonderful. Food was very good. Menu a little heavy on steak, considering Charleston Grill, Grill 225 and Halls Chophouse are all close by and are known for their steaks.

   This is a terrific restaurant. The menu is quite basic, but everything is prepared expertly, and the staff is both welcoming and professional. Whenever we're in Charleston we never miss a visit. My faves are the local Low-Country seafood items and the filet. Again, a basic menu but all the bases are well covered. Oh... and that coconut cake. "Extraordinary" doesn't do it justice.

   Dining at the Peninsula Grill is an amazing experience. There are so many reasons why this restaurant shows up on all the “Best of Charleston” lists. Their seafood tower and caviar presentations are fantastic. They have excellent cocktail and wine selections. We enjoyed Duck and salmon as entrees. Portion sizes are more than adequate. One has to have their famous coconut layer cake as a finishing touch. Service was attentive and enjoyable. For a special occasion or just as a real treat, it’s a must!
