   Wow food, ambiance and service outstanding!!! Bartender Bradley and server Adam perfect blend friendly and wonderful service!!! Amazing wine list!! Steak quality better than major fancy chains! Sides delicious especially the warm potato salad!! Dining room quiet, not loud, tables well spaced for privacy and special occasions! Highly recommend!! Part of the Planters Inn! Charming courtyard to eat in as well!

   Our first experience here, and they didn’t disappoint! We celebrated our 8th anniversary and we felt welcomed and the staff were very attentive. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion, beautiful dining room and the dress code made the experience even more special! Everything from the cocktails to the dessert were perfect, my ribeye was cooked beautifully and the Grouper special my husband ordered was excellent! Get the potato, absolutely mind blowing! The coconut cake was well worth the hype, simple and delicious and paired well with a double shot of espresso. Thank you Peninsula Grill for the memorable experience and making us feel special on our special day!

   Our wait staff was exceptional. She was very accommodating . Unfortunately the chef was not accommodating to a garlic allergy. It was quite disappointing that a high end restaurant like Peninsula Grill could not be flexible. We were very disappointed with the menu. I am accustomed to high end restaurants being able to accommodate a very serious food allergy. Unfortunately this was a disappointing evening. I think the chef should be more accommodating. We have eaten here many times over the years…never experienced such a restrictive menu. A good chef should be able to make substitutions for an allergy.

    Classic “old school” Charleston vibe. Great food, drinks, service, ambience and a dress code! A wonderful choice for evenings you want to dress up a bit and enjoy. The care and attention by staff and management is unbeatable. Truly special and one of my sentimental favorites! Been coming here for years.
