   Made it to the restaurant at 6:15 pm for 6:30 pm reservations. Received the salad and soup in good time , bread had to be asked for. We received our main course at 7:30pm and it was ok. The dessert was ok also but for the price I was expecting a better valentines experience.

   We have frequented Paulette’s for many years but the quality has diminished. When we arrived, we were seated at a cloth draped folding table in the lobby. There were lots of people walking back and forth within feet of our table with elevator and slamming door sounds. We asked to be reseated in the actual restaurant and that took some time. We normally order the filet and did again this time. The food did not have much flavor and did not compare to in the past.

   Not impressed. Seemed like an Applebees with the mask of a fine dining restaurant. Looks nice and quaint inside, but everything else from the menus to the food to the drinks were just cheap and unsophisticated, given the prices.

   Paulette's has always deserved good reviews from us in the past. but not after last night's experience. We were given a gift certificate for Christmas and decided to use it last night for an early Valentine's dinner, expecting the superior quality of food as we have always had in the past. I am hoping it was just an off night, or maybe they had short staff in the kitchen, but we were less than satisfied with our meal...overall. The mushrooms stuffed with crab meat appetizer was bland and tasted strange. It had no distinct flavor, but what little it had was not appealing. I let me husband have most of them since he could tolerate the flavor. I could not. Neither of us found them appetizing and would not order them again. We both ordered the Redfish and were not pleased at all with its lack of flavor either. The lemon beurre blanc was undetectable and the potatoes were mushy and tasteless. The tiny asparagus were stringy and heard to eat. I couldn't finish mine. Hubby doesn't like to leave food, so he mustered through. Then, to top it off, I chose bread pudding for dessert. I was looking forward to something tasty and moist. Instead of normal bread pudding that is light and gooey, this one was dense, dry and just not pleasing. I brought it home and we made french toast out of it this morning. That wasn't half bad! Our server was attentive enough, but even though I mentioned that we were not pleased with the appetizer and entree, no one ever came to talk with us about it. It was kind of a ho-hum reaction and "gee we're sorry" attitude. I left very bewildered vowing to stick to only breakfast from now on. It is typically consistently good. Maybe it was just a bad night, but I would like to have had some more favorable input from the staff to ask to remedy it. It will be a while before we return or recommend it to others.

   If in 901 as a visitor or resident if you want a superior meal for the money don’t go here. The quality has dropped and just not the same I am sad to say. Always go to Folks Folly and get the value you pay for. My last visit to Paulette’s !!!!!

   It was a date night. My wife and I ordered from the menu and the Chef with his staff exceeded our expectations. But the evening was made really special by our wait person. She was great. We look forward to our next visit. Paulette is a place of memories.

    A Lunch Celebration! This is a perfect place to have a lunch celebration. It was Five Star on all levels.
