Welcome to Pasta Pasta in the historic water town of Port Jefferson. Since 1991 Pasta Pasta has become one of the premier restaurants on the North Shore. More than just PASTA; they offer a diverse menu featuring chicken, steak the freshest fish available and of course our innovative pastas and pizza.     The restaurant was crowded with little room to move between tables and the noise level was high. Of the three meals we ordered two were less than satisfactory with little taste. The third was better but when presented looked like it was “ thrown together “. Not a great experience.

    As always, the service was excellent & the food was delicious! The perfect place for lunch or dinner with family or friends :) Never disappointed, and as expected, decorated for the holidays!

    Service and ambience were perfect. The food was expensive considering the quality of ingredients and preparation. Flavors were a little off! The filet mignon served over toasted gnocchi, tossed with roasted garlic, sage, prosciutto, arugula, splash of marsala wine was pretty awful! The filet was tough and under seasoned and flat cut. The prosciutto was like leather… not the correct preparation for prosciutto in a hot dish. The toasted gnocchi was quite dense and heavy. Its texture, size, and taste are typical of cheap store bought gnocchi. There was very little arugula and what was there was overcooked. The filet, arugula, and gnocchi were immersed in a soup of marsala that was not correctly reduced to burn off alcohol. The encrusted rack of lamb was cooked unevenly and the exterior was soggy. The flavor profile of the escargot wontons was a complete disaster. The sauce(s) flavors do not go together with the appetizer. The steamed veggies were fine. Have to say the garlic bread served was good, but would be better with a little more salt added to the seasoning.
