  • Neighbourhood gem

Founded in 1913, this family-run, Italian-Creole restaurant is located in uptown New Orleans. It is famous for creating barbecued shrimp.

This neighborhood restaurant is vintage New Orleans, from the service to the decor. The oyster bar is always manned by a friendly shucker. The oysters are fresh, salty, and delicious.

The old time oyster bar and cocktail bar offers raw oysters on the half shell and all types of cocktails. We offer fine seafood, Italian specialties, and delicious steaks.

In 2023, Dickie Brennan & Co. welcomed Pascal's Manale into their restaurant family.

Very good N.O. “Hole in wall” restaurant. Have been several times in the past few years when we visit the big easy. BBQ shrimp poboy and stuffed shrimp were delicious. The house special BBQ shrimp were good but did not peel easy as usual. They were difficult to peel.

I’ve dined at Parcal’s Manale many times and have always enjoyed it. Last night, unfortunately, was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We arrived for our 6:30 reservation and were quickly seated by the hostess and greeted by our server. It was all downhill from there. We were there for the reveillon dinner. Our waitress had no idea what we were talking about. We explained that there was a special menu and that we wanted to order off the regular menu as well. Our appetizers didn’t come out until 7:30, one hour after we were sat. It was a 30 minute wait between appetizers and soup, which was hurriedly brought out by a bus person, barely lukewarm. Another 30+ minutes wait between soup and entree. We sat for another 30 minutes after finishing our entrees without being offered coffee or dessert. We asked for our check, not bothering with dessert. Our waitress brought the check and disappeared again. A bus person took my credit card and we left, asking to speak with the person in charge on our way out. This was primarily an example of extremely poor management. The waitress had no idea what we were talking about when we mentioned the reveillon dinner. How is it possible that the staff isn’t aware of a special menu? In addition to our table, our waitress was tending to a large party in a separate room. Why would you have this waitress on a big party, while also making her responsible for a single table in a separate room? While our waitress came out a couple of times apologizing for the delay and promising that our food would be out soon, we rarely saw her during the 2 1/2 hours that we were there, mostly sitting and waiting. The manager was apologetic, offering to make it right the next time that we came in, but this night was pretty much ruined by extremely slow and inattentive service, and very poor management. The food was good, though it would have been better had it been served hot and in a timely manner. An extremely disappointing experience

I had the veal parm. It was like cutting into a deck of playing cards. Absolutely the worst piece of veal I have ever tried to eat. The food was so much better before it became a Brennan's restaurant. Was once a favorite but we are never going back. They removed it from our bill but the manager didn't care enough to come by to either apologize or ask my reason for sending it back.

Service substandard. Brought me the wrong entree. Had to wait for my entree while my wife already had hers.

Very good food and very good service in a nice environment. This is the place for BBQ Shrimp. The eggplant appetizer, red fish special, veal parmigiana and bread pudding are also very good. It was loud and the tables are very close together. We could hear the couple at the next table arguing. The eggplant was the best thing we had, followed by the bread pudding, if the entrées were as good, 5 star all the way.
