    Hate to leave a poor review but knew my steak wasn’t cooked to temperature. After a couple of bites tasted raw. Immediately following dinner had an upset stomach the rest of the night. Went the same for the rest of our party. Was surprised by the location for a high end steakhouse.

    A hidden gem of a San Francisco steak house. Where the locals go. Fun service, great food and ambiance, excellent cocktails. Have come for years. Thanks again!

    The ambiance was nice but the food was average. The bread & butter as starters are terrible, they shouldn’t charge you for those. The crabcakes were good. Steaks were undercooked but tasted good. The sides were all ok, not great - mashed potatoes had no flavor. I would not dine here again, there are better steak houses in the city to choose from.

    As always, a great dinner, From being greeted by Paola who is the absolute best hostess, to impeccable service and delicious food, dining at Osso is a wonderful experience. The food, especially the steaks, are superb. We started with a huge shrimp cocktail followed by a baby kale salad. The salad was delicious and the kale was a welcome change from the traditional romaine. Four of us had steaks which arrived perfectly seasoned and done to medium rare. The french fries were crisp and hot. Side dish of spinach was also very good. The restaurant was full but the noise level did not reflect it. You can carry on a conversation which we appreciated. Tired of screaming at each other, which happens at many other popular restaurants. We were celebrating two birthdays and they comped us two desserts which was very nice. Highly recommend Osso whether for a special Occasion or just a night out.

    From being greeted warmly by the lovely hostess, to the well prepared libations by the bartender and the efficient and friendly waiter, it was a great experience! Oh and the food was amazing. Every single bite! Best steakhouse experience we have had in SF in years. And we live here. See you soon.

    Everything on the menu is really delicious and well done. You should definitely try the sides, particularly the sautéed mushrooms, and the carrots.

    We didn’t feel the waiter was very attentive. At least not very sincere. And didn’t help with our questions on the wine. A bit dismissive.
