Located in Binfield Heath, Henley on Thames. Orwells' Kitchen is headed up by Michelin starred chef Ryan Simpson & Liam Trotman. The aim is to source the best produce available locally and beyond to prepare delicious dishes with no fuss to let the quality of the produce shine. The kitchen takes a rural approach combined with modern cooking. The restaurants' been recognised in all the major guides and have continued to hold 4AA rosettes consecutively for 8 years. We have a nice relaxing lounge area and the atmosphere is cosy and classy. The garden area has great views and is open on warm days for dining. We are also dog friendly.

Orwells offers a choice of Al a carte, Wednesday - Sunday alongside a Tasting menu.
The Lunch menu runs from Wednesday to Sunday, its £45 for 2 courses and £55 for three courses. Sunday has a roast offering which in £55 2 courses & £65 3 courses, alongside the tasting menu and A la carte

    Excellent Sunday lunch. 2 courses, plus little extras which was a lovely touch. Attentive staff, who made sure we were happy with everything. Definitely recommend.

    Visited Orwells to celebrate milestone birthday with close family. As usual, the expereience didn't disappoint. We ate there for Sunday lunch and along with tradtional roasts there are plenty of options for everyone, including, as it was Autumn an great game menu. Everything was cooked to perfection - highlights were the crab crumpet starter and the red leg partridge with 'sticky legs' along with the pheasant for mains. Absolutely awesome. Its a very relaxed atmosphere but has a buzz to it. Service was spot on , without formaility and not intrusive. A perfect choice for a special meal out with friends or family.

    It's a few years since we've eaten at Orwells, though we frequently had takeaways during lockdown. Last night was for the occasion of a family anniversary. The welcome was warm and polite, and the service at our table from the waitress evidently in charge of our section was outstanding. She was charming and engaged socially whilst still providing extremely efficient service. The pace of the service was perfect - giving enough time to enjoy each stage without us ever feeling that the meal dragged or we were waiting a long time between courses. The meal itself was excellent - meat perfectly cooked and presented, and the extra touches of an amuse bouche and petit fours added to the experience. Our only quibble was with the mushrooms with the venison which smelled vinegary and had a strange consistency. The wine and drinks list is more than extensive, especially for any gin drinkers! Overall, a fabulous evening and a perfect venue for a special occasion, though it is certainly not cheap by local standards, and not the venue for an everday meal, but it's not an everday experience!

    What a delightful meal and experience. The food was delicious and served in a relaxed atmosphere with lovely staff. Value for money and could not recommend more. Thank you Ryan and Liam!
