The ambiance and service were by far better than most restaurants you could compare to. The decorations throughout, the pianist playing in the background, the fireplaces roasting, everything was on point with ambiance. The servers were constantly available and quick with accommodating any request. The food serving size to start was miniscule, which other restaurants in the area serve larger amounts with similar or lower price points. The taste of the food did not feel elevated to merit the price of the meals, in my opinion. I was expecting more flavor from the food, especially the final course before dessert, which felt a bit bland. That's not to say it wasn't tasty, but it just didn't have the WOW factor. Also, the presentation of the food was a bit boring. The value came mostly from the decor with the fresh flowers everywhere and tabletop decorations, which didn't really fill the stomach but did appeal to the eyes. The seating arrangement felt a bit tight since you had to move the table to get in and out of your seat. The coat check at the entry was nice, but we didn't make use of it this time. Booking the reservations was simple, and you're seated right away upon arrival. Overall, it's a great spot to do a special occasion at, but not for a regular day meal.

Grossly overpriced and non-existent service. We were attended to by the waitstaff, not a waiter, who kept the prix-fixe course coming in an impersonal, mechanized feeling format. The food was mediocre. The cocktails were nice, but nothing was exceptional or stood out versus any other restaurant experience. Add to that the ridiculous price gouging of $350pp which was not evident on the Open Table booking system, and we had a very disappointing, underwhelming evening. This restaurant is coasting on name value and history vs. their actual food quality and dinner service.

Such an incredible dining experience for Valentine’s Day last night! The five course tasting menu was delicious. So happy we added on the wine pairing option as well which complemented the tasting menu perfectly! The decor was beautiful from the candles and roses for centerpieces and throughout restaurant, immaculate decor with a great pianist curating such a romantic ambiance. I had such a great time and will definitely return back! 💞

We booked this reservation through open table and no where on the reservation did it advise how much the cost per person was going to be. I have heard of this restaurant and have been wanting to try it. I know it is fine dining and more expensive so I was prepared to spend a good amount of money but it was a special occasion for me and my fiancé. I triple checked my open table app and my confirmation email and nowhere did it say the cost. They called to confirm 4 days before the event and mentioned the price and i was in shock. Their normal 7 course meal is 179 so i was expecting 200 for a special occasion. For five courses it was 350 plus automatic 20% gratuity. Now with 4 days until Valentine’s Day and no heads up on this cost we really didn’t have a choice so we figured what the heck let’s try it. I did call back to confirm and i explained to the person on the phone that they should include the cost on resy (i meant open table) and she started yelling at me saying they don’t do resy and then i said apologies open table i didn’t memorize what service you use. But regardless i checked and that information wasn’t there. She continued to yell and insisted that i wasn’t thoughtful in checking my email when in fact i was as it is a lot of money i would have committed to. In the restaurant they sat us in a bad and populated spot not near the fancy windows or a booth just in the middle of the restaurant right next to another table when there were so many tables open that didn’t get filled for another 2 hours at least. Our server was great not too pushy but attentive. The first dish came out and it was literally one oyster per person which like come on you can’t spring for two per person with an expensive meal? Ok fine, next two dishes were equally as mini. Lobster and beef Wellington were great as well as the dessert. Idk whole meal was definitely not worth 350$ PLUS drinks & tip and after their hostess acted rude i had a bad taste in my mouth. NOT worth a trip.

My Wife and I last dined at this wonderful, historic restaurant 24 years ago on the night we got engaged. Despite any changes since then, it was equally fantastic last night. The top-knotch service, the romantic ambience and, of course, the food & drinks were all marvelous. I highly recommend the Duck Confit starter, the legendary Beef Wellington, and the Creme Brulee. It's not an inexpensive evening...but magic doesn't come cheap!
