   Dinner for 8 was more than expected. Food was adequate for prices charged. Service was courteous and professional though the perfume was over powering and over whelming to me though others didn’t notice it. We dine here several times a year as they take large groups but woukd not rush back for a dinner for two.

   I’ll start by saying that the food was fantastic! There were three of us and we ordered across the large plates. Nothing disappointed! We did start with a cheese board. The French Brie that was included was outstanding. I also found they have a really lovely wine selection. Kudos to the bartender for delicious aperitif cocktails. From a service level, our server was very nice and courteous, so that went well. But there were some long delays on when bevies and food were brought out. I am one who appreciates a nicely paced dinner but the wait time between drinks and courses was quite erratic. One other thing, and no fault of the restaurant, and a bit of a surprise, the restaurant uses the lobby section of the building they are in for some of its dining space. Well, the building decided to do an art show this evening, to the surprise of Olympic Provisions. We still had a table. Which is good. But we had random people walking around us to look at art!! 🤣 I don’t think this is usual. But the use of the lobby space is. It does remove you from the atmosphere of the actual dining space. Not sure if you can specify a table but if you can definitely ask to be seated in the actual dining room, it looked really cozy.

   We had picked bar seating and they sat us at a very thin section of the bar that should not be a place where people sit. We requested to move. The next spot was better. The people following us came in and refused to sit at the “bar seating”. It’s not conducive for having a meal and drinks. The food was not great. I wouldn’t recommend going here. The staff congregated and talked about costumers.

   I usually love this restaurant but our meal last night was a disappointment. The pumpkin soup was over salted and barely warm. My husband’s pork was also not hot and arrived with zero prunes as had been advertised in the menu. The chicory salad was tasty but had far too many croutons, like one quarter of the plate. Also the mignonette sauce that came w/the oysters had no zing. On top of this, the wait for the meal was so overlong that the server felt compelled to give us extra bread. And a free cookie at the end. It didn’t make up for fatty, barely warm, overly salted food. We won’t come back.

   Great food! Cool location. Maybe usual host/hostess wasn’t working. This part of experience not so great.

   A great spot for a romantic dinner out! Great selection of wine and delicious cocktails. The service was outstanding. We ordered the French charcuterie board and absolutely loved it! We also ordered the gnocchi and pork main dishes. The gnocchi wasn’t our favorite as thr gnocchi were fried and we missed the pillowy chewiness of other gnocchi we’d had in the past. The pork was delicious, perfectly seasoned and tender. Next time we visit we plan to order the Chef’s tasting menu.
