   I was super excited to go to Nobu for the first time and was highly disappointed because there were no hot dishes. I was looking forward to many hot meals when reviewing the menu. I didn’t get a call prior to attending the reservation with the update or I would have chosen another location for the evening. Although our cold dishes were good, a heads up would’ve been appreciated that half the menu was unavailable.

   We were really looking forward to our Valentine’s Day dinner, which also happened to be our 15th wedding anniversary, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. Our table was placed directly in the middle of a busy walkway leading to the kitchen, and we had to rearrange our chairs just to avoid being constantly bumped by servers passing by. It took over five minutes just to receive menus and more than 10 minutes to place our drink order and then it took over 15 more minutes to actually receive the drinks. It was clear that the server was overwhelmed, and the restaurant seemed significantly understaffed for such a busy evening. Despite spending over $800 on the meal, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. We understand that holidays can be hectic, but better planning and organization should have been in place to accommodate guests who came out expecting a special night. Unfortunately, this was the worst dining experience we've had, and we won’t be returning.

   Disappointing. My parameter and I came in from San Antonio and wanted to celebrate our anniversary dinner at nobu but as we were walking into the hotel to the restaurant for our reservation we got a call they only would have sushi and salad . When we spoke to our server she said a gas leak had occurred at night . This was very disappointing as since we were notified last minute we were stuck sticking to our reservation time as it would be very unlikely we get a reservation on Valentine’s Day at another establishment . Our server was respectful and kind but didn’t seem to expect I was vegan and didn’t know it was our anniversary ( both we listed in the notes of our reservation) and didn’t seem knowledgeable of what options I could have . I believe she may have asked as a bit later she came back a bit later and listed four options for me . I had three out of the four vegan options available at the time and they were average . I as well had a cocktail that was refreshing . Overall, not a pleasant experience at the Nobu Dallas location .

   The food and service were absolutely exceptional—by far the best I’ve experienced in years! Every detail was flawless, making for an unforgettable dining experience.
