   The staff was so kind and accommodating. We had to shift our reservation time twice that day and they very kindly held our table for us despite having a very full restaurant. We were so appreciative

   The FOOD is amazing. I got lobster papperdelle pasta and I think I had half of a lobster in it. The sauce was insane. My husband got the cacio e peppe made at the table plus a meatball that melted in your mouth. The music selection was a bit off character for what I was hoping to experience, but the space was fun and exciting. A MUST GO!

   The ambiance was lively and classy. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were engaging and efficient. However, the food made this experience one of the best dinners we’ve had in all of our travels. The lobster ravioli, Bolognese, and Salmon were cooked to perfection. There are many options in North End but we highly recommend this gem!

   The server came over and asked what we wanted No attempt to explain or discuss menu. Did not ask if we wanted apps. Half the table food came 10 minutes before The others Abruptly came over and cleaned table Asked if we wanted anything else. Never offering or telling us about dessert options. Very rushed experience And one bathroom for the entire restaurant led to people waiting for bathroom to hover over diners. Very disappointed in what was to be a special dinner.

   The food was delicious, especially the Cacio e Pepe and Rigatoni alla Vodka. The staff were incredible, making my Mom’s birthday celebration very fun and special!

   We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My son and i both got the Gnocchi and my husband got the veal parm. Good size portions as well. Service was very good too/everything came out fairly quickly which we appreciated as we were all very hungry! Would also recommend starting with Mamma Rosetta’s Famous Meatball.

   This was the best experience in a restaurant I ever had. From the service to the outstanding food. The flavors,freshness and portions was just out of this world. Definitely coming back to visit Boston just to come back to NICO.

    I chose this restaurant for my son’s 18th birthday celebration based on other reviews I read about how special the place made you feel. We received none of that love. Even though I made a reservation, they put us in the basement under a speaker and next to a TV. The ambiance in the basement is so depressing especially compared to the lively atmosphere upstairs. The music was loud and didn’t fit the vibe of was going for - I was looking for Frank Sinatra not hip hop. The food was pretty good but not exceptional. At the end of the meal they brought my son a shot of cranberry juice and a fake gift with a candle. I assume if he’d been 21 it would have been limoncello? It was just weird and not special and after dropping over $400, I left a bit disappointed. I get that the North End is an expensive tourist trap but I was looking for that classic North End experience and didn’t mind overpaying for Italian food. Unfortunately this place did not deliver for us.
