Sparta Restaurants

This is our second Christmas Brunch at the Charmant. I chose this restaurant again as I was so impressed with last year’s Christmas Brunch. I believe the menu was the same this year but my wife and I tried different items. We enjoyed our time again and will probably make it again next year. The cornmeal pancakes were delicious! I had a side of ham which left me wanting more! My wife had the Charmant Breakfast with sausage links. She was very pleased with the scrambled eggs, sausage links and GF toast. I couldn’t finish my corn meal pancakes so took the remainder home. I’m not as big of an eater as I once was. The two pancakes for me were quite filling.

Had a great dinner at the Del Bar in Lake Delton, WI. We have been their numerous times and not once have we had a a bad meal or poor service. The service (Shane was the server) was excellent as always. And the food again was outstanding. My wife had huge sea scallops with squash with brussel sprouts as the side. Very very good except a little light on the squash as far as quantity. I had the lobster roll, hash browns and french onion soup. Also, very very good. However, I prefer a warm lobster roll instead of the cold roll. Just my preference. We also bought a $200 gift card and received an extra $40 for use in the future. Great marketing by the Del Bar. Definitely we will be back again and again and again.

Always a great place. Typically portions are massive. Food is great.

Our 2nd dinner experience at the Waterfront. First of all their staff was friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was very good at when to bring the various courses of our dinner to the table. We would rate them in the top 5 of the restaurant staffs we encountered since the start of our retirement 7 years ago. My wife had a filet & I had scallops, both prepared to our liking. The crab cake and the upgrade salads were fresh and tasty. All in all we would recommend the Waterfront for dinner and intend to return as soon as we can.
