Two of us at our table immensely enjoyed the Romarin specialty cocktail. Four of us shared three hors d’ouevres - the charcuterie, the mushroom tart and the crispy artichokes along with the beet salad. The serving sizes of each were perfect for the 4 of us to share. Our water glasses were continually refilled and the service was excellent. Two at our table had the Saturday special - poultry feuillete - an elevated chicken pot pie with mushrooms and black truffle oil. I sampled the special and the sauce was superb! I ordered the Moules Frites and another had the veal escalope. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, the atmosphere and didn’t feel rushed. The interior of the restaurant was decorated for the holidays and it was a warm, welcoming environment. We completed our meal by sharing the moelleux au chocolat - a warm chocolate cake with hazelnuts and praline sorbet…delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and the inviting atmosphere.More infoParcPrice: Expensive• French• Rittenhouse Square•4.8

- TTimCincinnati / Dayton •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoCharming re-creation of an English Pub. English Pub food has gotten much better than it once was, and The Dandelion's food was excellent. From the Dandelion salad to the Root vegetable soup to the Rabbit Pie, all excellent. Our server (I regret I've forgotten her name) was perfect - friendly, efficient, professional. Only negative (for us) was the noise level - we ate upstairs during the lunch rush, and it was busy and noisy with energetic conversations with several tables of 6 or so surrounding us, which of course has pros and cons. But still highly recommended. We did not inquire if a quieter table was available - I think it may have been.More infoThe DandelionPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Center City•4.8
- CChuckPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWow! I walked past this resto so many times, and, from the outside, it looked average. However, as soon as you walk in the front door, you know that you are some place special. The ambience is great, but, more importantly, the food was exquisite. Yes, it was expensive, but the experience was worth every penny. To start, we ordered rolls with chive butter, and, for an entrée, had pumpkin ravioli with walnuts, apples, onions, and ricotta cheese--yum! The food was so good that we decided to order dessert, an apple tartan which was equally delicious. On top of that, our server was excellent, very helpful, and friendly. You have to try this place at least once!More infoThe LovePrice: Expensive• American• Rittenhouse Square•4.8

We have been here several times and this was the best so far. Our waiter was extremely helpful and courteous to our friend who is somewhat handicapped. The mushroom soup is absolutely delicious. They did not rush us even though it got very crowded as the afternoon wore on. I love the ambiance here, too. Very comfortable seating.More infoWhite Dog Cafe-HaverfordPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Havertown•4.6

Discover Northwest Philly
Philadelphia is famous for cheesesteak made unlike anywhere else in the country, but Northwest Philly is rich in dining options and offers much more than this famous dish. It starts with the huge number of authentic Italian restaurants located throughout the area, along with the many steakhouses that prove it's not always about cheese with steak. That is in addition to the many pizzerias that are iconic to the city. International cuisine can be found as well, including Mexican, Chinese, and Indian food for those wanting traditional dishes from abroad. There are numerous seafood restaurants that serve fresh fish daily, including lobster, shrimp, and shellfish. In this part of Philly, there is a lot on offer for the discerning palate.
