- JJimPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. Our server, Carlee, was so kind and attentive I felt like we were old friends. The atmosphere is perfect for a special dinner, yet not at all stuffy or pretentious. Ideal for a romantic dinner for two or a family night out. The regular menu is loaded with options. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious. I often get a veal dish because it’s tender enough to eat with a fork and I just can’t make it like that at home. I’ve had many of the pasta dishes, and the gnocchi is my favorite. The Valentine’s Day menu had a few themed additions, such as the Amore Arancini appetizer, comprised of three flavorful, beefy rice balls that we enjoyed. Portion sizes are large enough that we packed some up to enjoy the next day. The dessert menu has many tempting offerings. I was stuffed, but I made a selection to take home. We both agreed that we need to come back more often.More infoPiccolo Trattoria - NewtownPrice: Moderate• Italian• Newtown•4.7
- PPaulVIPPhiladelphia County •53 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI think I have moved Rocco's into a top 5 restaurant for me. The Steaks are 100% legit here, I normally get the strip and that is amazing. Got the ribeye as I saw it was the same price as the strip, which I found slightly odd as the ribeye is a better flavorful cut. The steak was cooked perfect, the crust on the steak was perfect. Prices have gone up a bit over the past 12-18 months but the steak is comparable to any legit steakhouse in the city if not better. Oysters to start were great. We will be back for sure!More infoRocco's at the BrickPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Newtown•4.7
- AAbbeeVIPNew York City •9 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFrom the moment we walked in and were greeted to the time we left - we had the ultimate first class dining experience! Our waiter Damon was super friendly and engaging - quickly asking us if we were celebrating a special occasion! It was my father’s 81st birthday! After he took our drink order he came back and decorated our table with happy birthday confetti!!! The thought was so nice and unexpected. It made my dad smile and we really enjoyed the moment. Damon was quick to take our orders and answer some of our silly questions! Service was excellent and the food was great! Damon then brought over dessert along with a special plate that said Happy Birthday in chocolate with 2 sweet desserts and a candle!! We all sang happy birthday and my dad was thrilled. It was the perfect night!! We all agreed that the experience was perfection and that is was Damon who truly made the difference! We know if we come back again - we want to sit in Damon’s section. He’s an absolute professional! All the best AbbeeMore infoThe Capital Grille - NewtownPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Newtown•4.8

12 of Philadelphia’s outstanding spots for celebrating special occasions
Maybe you got engaged on the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or just picked up the keys to your first rowhouse. It could be that your kid is (finally) toilet trained, or that your noisy neighbor moved away. Sometimes, simply surviving another Tuesday can be an occasion to celebrate over a restaurant meal. Luckily, Philadelphia bursts with places where the food and atmosphere lend themselves to living it up. Grab dinner and a jazz show at a swinging North Broad Street faithful. Opt for a quieter night at a critically acclaimed, plant-based gem in Midtown Village. Or splurge on a swanky steakhouse that presides over a corner of Rittenhouse Park. Whether you’re after an intimate spot for an anniversary date or a convivial atmosphere for a boisterous reunion, Philadelphia has you covered with these 12 celebration-worthy restaurants.

Discover Newtown
The old-time farms, houses, and wholesome landscapes surrounding Newtown, Pennsylvania do not hold a candle to the magnificent cuisine available there. For a quick lunch, enjoy a maple bacon burger. At its core is a thick medium-rare burger pattie sandwiched between buttered and toasted buns. The burger pattie is covered with a blue cheese sauce and topped with maple-infused shredded bacon to add sweet savory goodness. Visit the sights of gingerbread homes, and return to the town center for dinner. Start with a calamari appetizer cooked Sicilian-style to awaken your palate. Move to an entrée of white fish cooked whole in the kitchen and brought to your tableside to be expertly filleted beside you. Then, finish your historic day with cannoli with coffee-infused cream and chocolate chip bits.
