- OTOpenTable DinerPhiladelphia County •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoFirst time visitors and will for sure not be our last! My wife and I sat upstairs for our 8:15 reservation. The host was very friendly and outgoing, starting our night off on a great first experience .We were promptly welcomed by our server. Nice wine selections, crafty cocktails, and the food was very well prepared and presented. The atmosphere was dim-lit, cozy, yet elegant. The server checked in on us at the appropriate times, ensuring we were enjoying our meals while also respecting our privacy. A few other guests were a little loud at the bar, but that happens sometimes and it didn't ruin our experience. Can't wait to go back with family and friends!More infoBelvedere Inn Restaurant and BarPrice: Expensive• American• Lancaster•4.8
- PPatWashington, D.C. Area •26 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoIt had been some time since we dined at Josephine's - so glad to have been back at the holidays. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and we were seated in a back room that had customers at each table but was very quiet and allowed us to have our own conversation and be easily heard. I dined on the special, rack of lamb, and my wife had the Salmon Oscar. Both absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. The starter dish of homemade bacon was divine. We ended with dessert - lemon meringue and the mint/chocolate dessert (name is escaping me at the moment). Our server was attentive and pleasant and even went out of his way to grab our coats for us before we left. Always enjoy coming to Josephine's!More infoJosephine'sPrice: Expensive• Modern European• Lancaster•4.9

They were ready immediately for our reservation and attended to us with wonderful service the whole time. Our server Cam was friendly and also noticed every time we needed anything at all without us even asking. Food was excellent! Pork chop & chicken were divine, and the whipped feta appetizer was a fun and unique taste we enjoyed.More infoPloughPrice: Moderate• American• Lancaster•4.4

12 of Philadelphia’s outstanding spots for celebrating special occasions
Maybe you got engaged on the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or just picked up the keys to your first rowhouse. It could be that your kid is (finally) toilet trained, or that your noisy neighbor moved away. Sometimes, simply surviving another Tuesday can be an occasion to celebrate over a restaurant meal. Luckily, Philadelphia bursts with places where the food and atmosphere lend themselves to living it up. Grab dinner and a jazz show at a swinging North Broad Street faithful. Opt for a quieter night at a critically acclaimed, plant-based gem in Midtown Village. Or splurge on a swanky steakhouse that presides over a corner of Rittenhouse Park. Whether you’re after an intimate spot for an anniversary date or a convivial atmosphere for a boisterous reunion, Philadelphia has you covered with these 12 celebration-worthy restaurants.
