Went last night Place has a superb feel,about it as a village pub with lots of locals of all ages. Had the steak and I don’t know where they get it from but it was superb. No fat or gristle. It had everything you’d expect with it and a good portion of chips too. Desert was great, cookie dough baked in the over with ice cream. My wife had pie and mash which is what she wanted even before she saw the menu and Eton Mess which had a twist to it as it was more tropical. Wine was very reasonably priced for anywhere going out these days and probably 2/3 of what you’d pay in a restaurant. First time there - definitely going again as there’s quite a bit on the menu to get through.

A wonderful country find in a tiny village. The restaurant is definitely one to savour local farm to table, foraging and local game delicacies and each course was delicious. Staff are friendly, informative and welcoming and on a cold snowy night provided hot water bottles for each table to ensure we were sufficiently warm.

My first time dining there and was impressed by the food and the service. The staff are friendly and genuinely happy to be serving you despite being very busy even for an early Wednesday evening, which only proves what a popular place to eat it is. The chicken and seafood paella was delicious and we received a free cheese and garlic pizza while we were deciding what to order! The prices are very reasonable too. I will definitely be going back again to try more dishes on the comprehensive menu.
