- PPeterSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe "dim sum" small dishes are delicious, innovative, surprising. And they keep on coming. The servers are so friendly, so efficient, and so obviously proud to work at the restaurant. That alone would keep us coming back. PS: wine isn't and can't be the primary issue at a restaurant with these amazing tastes, but their wine is good and really complements the meal.More infoState Bird ProvisionsPrice: Very Expensive• Californian• Western Addition•4.8

- SSuzannevipSan Francisco Bay Area •169 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFantastic, well prepared and creative dishes. Very high quality- friendly, knowledgeable service in a great space. It is noisy but a fun experience- I’ll be back!More infoThe Tailor's SonPrice: Expensive• Italian• Pacific Heights•4.7
- SSamAtlanta Metro •7 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWhat a find! Food choices were great- love the fact they are shareable as it's hard sometimes for my wife and me to try different things at a restaurant with individual/full portions. Quality was excellent as dishes are innovative, accurately described, and tasty. Don't pass on the caviar potato cloud (insider tip- order one for yourself instead of sharing)! And the drinks are also innovative and quite balanced in their flavor profiles!More infoThe ProgressPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Western Addition•4.9
- DDickSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoOur experience, food and service was fantastic. I would highly recommend the small plates of the mushroom dish and the spicy chicken in two buns as being absolutely delightful. Since this was my vegetarian wife's birthday plus unable to eat any gluten dishes, I would have tried some meat dishes. However, everything we had was superior.More infoBansangPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Korean• Western Addition•4.5

Discover Japantown
One of only three official Japantowns in the U.S., the neighborhood packs a heap of cultural vibrancy and dining delights into its six city blocks. Sidestep the overpriced, touristy chains to discover a trove of unexpected eats. On the snack side, mochis of all flavors beckon, as well as other signature sweets like matcha, onigiri, sponge cake, and more. Wash it down with boba tea, or a drink at one of the local izakayas—neighborhood gastropubs with an inviting, casual vibe. For savory eats, the noodle shops are not to be missed. Whether we’re talking ramen or udon, few things are as contested as your go-to noodle joint—perfect for those foggy San Francisco days. Options abound in Japantown, it’s just a matter of finding your favorite one.
