- JJNebraska •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoIt was our first time at Clio and our waitstaff was so helpful, explaining menu items and suggesting options. We were both completely pleased with our choices. The food is excellent, familiar yet creatively prepared. Also appreciate the "right size" portions. We will definitely go to Clio again!More infoClioPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Omaha•4.9
- TThereseOrange County •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe love Spezia. Whenever we are in Omaha, we find a way to have dinner here. Our server Christine did a great job making us feel welcome: from getting the manager to find us some light in our very dark booth to checking in on us to make sure we were happy to refilling drinks without our asking. She promised to pace our meal and she delivered. Christine was attentive without being intrusive. The food here does not disappoint. The artichoke and crab dip arrived piping hot. The walleye was tender and flavorful. My son enjoyed the salmon. The restaurant was busy. I am glad the locals appreciate quality food and service. I know that my son and I do.More infoSpezia - Steaks, Italian & SeafoodPrice: Expensive• Italian• Midtown•4.8

Spent just the right amount of time at our table. Give him a raise, he deserves it.More infoJ. Gilbert’s - Wood Fired Steaks & Seafood - OmahaPrice: Expensive• Steak• Downtown / Old Market•4.7
- NNicoleNebraska •12 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe dined here for Xmas Eve and it’s was the perfect spot. The environment is cozy and quiet so you can have a conversation with your whole table. The food was excellent and cooked perfectly. I recommend the salmon and steaks. We were also excited to see some traditional dishes from past Xmas eves with our grandma under the special Xmas Eve selections. My only constructive feedback was the courses were served too close together but it was a busy night for them.More infoTimber Woodfire BistroPrice: Moderate• American• Midtown•4.6

Discover Midtown
With a city name that means "those going against the wind," it is no surprise that Midtown Omaha has produced a few enduring favorites. The world-famous Reuben sandwich and butter brickle ice cream both hail from a local Midtown hotel. Such world-changers are rounded out by one local favorite that has yet to make an international debut: runza. Based on a German recipe, runza is simply a hot dough pocket stuffed with ground beef, spices, and cheese. While Midtown has many fine restaurants offering more cosmopolitan fare, it's these foods that you can’t get anywhere else that will make your trip to Midtown Omaha one to remember.
