Fayetteville (North Carolina) Restaurants

North Carolina offers the best of both worlds with excellent Southern style barbecue and coastal fresh catches, and the city of Fayetteville is no exception. There are over 400 restaurants in Fayetteville, and about a third of them are barbecue spots. Unlike other southern states, the Carolinas favor a mustard-based barbecue sauce that locals call "Carolina Gold." This sauce is sweet and tangy, a favorite on pulled pork, ribs and even wings. Fayetteville also offers a variety of locally produced craft beers. In fact, you may have a hard time finding a restaurant that serves beers made outside of North Carolina. Fayetteville is also the home of Sandhills Farm, so many of the local restaurants serve salads and desserts made from locally sourced, farm-to-table ingredients.
