    I really enjoyed the service and the food. The fried catfish, mac and cheese were really good. My homegirl got the black eye peas and she said that were really good as well. Drinks are high however that's expected for the area it is in. Dennis my server was really knowledgeable about the menu and what to try.

    I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at La Belle Helene was truly exceptional—easily one of the best French dining experiences I’ve ever had. I came here to celebrate my birthday, and we ran into a little hiccup with our reservation being booked for two instead of four. Despite it being an incredibly busy evening, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They welcomed us warmly, asked us to wait briefly at the bar, and then found us a perfect spot to enjoy an amazing meal. The service was impeccable, and the food was outstanding! Everything on the menu is a win, but I highly recommend asking for the dessert of the day—it’s the perfect way to end a meal. Thank you to the team at La Belle Helene for making my birthday so memorable. Five stars all around, especially for the incredible service! I can’t wait to come back!

North Carolina is a state divided when it comes to pork barbecue, but in Charlotte, the two sides of the great debate meet. In various barbecue joints around the city, you can find both the vinegar-based sauce that's popular in the eastern region of North Carolina as well as the more tomato-y option those in the western half of the state prefer.
