622 North is housed in a large, recently renovated Victorian building in Blacksburg’s historic Downtown District. We offer an eclectic assortment of meals for lunch and dinner with influences from many regions of the world. We also offer several daily specials which can be enjoyed a la carte or as three course meal. All of our meals are made from the freshest ingredients.

“The leading restaurant in the New River Valley, Preston’s specializes in farm-to-table dining featuring premium meats and sustainable fresh seafood choices. Preston’s local artisan cheese selection, signature dishes such as the Seared Atlantic Salmon, the locally famous House-smoked Trout Crostini, and - of course - sumptuous house made desserts are some of the reasons you want to visit. Preston’s is known also for its progressive Wine Spectator Award winning wine list including many fine Virginia labels, hand crafted cocktails, and attentive service .
Currently, Preston's is serving an ala carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Preston's Restaurant and Continental Divide Lounge are open, with social distance seating. Take out is available.

The Summit is located in Christiansburg, Virginia and offers gourmet, made-from-scratch food in a Victorian setting. This restaurant considers customer service a high priority and will ensure you enjoy your meal there. Every plate is prepared with care, featuring carefully chosen ingredients and made just for you. The Summit has a diverse menu with Mediterranean, Italian, Indian and Continental cuisine.
Start with an appetizer, such as the calamari, scallops or stuffed mushrooms. For the entrée course at The Summit, there are many popular options. Try the crab cakes with cream sauce over angel hair pasta, New York strip with gorgonzola and mashed potatoes or the chicken breast stuffed with apricots, raisins and mushrooms.

The Black Hen Restaurant offers a metropolitan dining experience in a small college town. While there are some classic dishes that are always available, the majority of our menu changes very frequently. We value the culinary diversity the global community has to offer while still maintaining heart strings tied to the South Eastern US and Appalachian offerings that surround us. We also offer a strong wine list and an often changing craft cocktail selections.

Food was cooked perfectly aside from the risotto being slightly overcooked. The ambience was quiet and slightly cozy and overall very comfortable. The service started off rocky but improved as the waiter was more comfortable talking with us, he seemed to be inexperienced serving but overall the service was good. I will definitely come back for more fantastic food as there are very few restaurants in the area with this level of quality and attention to detail with their food.

For special occasions and events, go early. The food is fantastic, but as the evening goes on, the kitchen gets backed up and you will wait a while before getting it.

My girlfriend and I had dinner at the Farmhouse to celebrate Valentine’s Day and we had a great time. The food was amazing and our waitress Brooke was an absolute joy to be around. Couldn’t have asked for a better date we had an awesome time!
