Margaret
Price: Very Expensive•Modern Australian•4.7(796)Margaret is a neighbourhood restaurant at its core, but it’s also evolved into something more than that. It’s about comfort, generosity, and cosiness.
At Margaret, we work with the best quality produce that Australia has to offer. Chef Neil Perry AM has spent years developing relationships with some of the best suppliers in the country. We are predominantly a seafood restaurant and are very fortunate to receive our seafood direct from our fishermen, caught sustainably and dry filleted here onsite at Margaret, so we can ensure that all that love and care our wonderful fisherman have taken is seen all the way through. The menu at Margaret is diverse and inspired by all the flavours that Neil has been collecting over his 45+ years in the industry. Margaretbills Double Bay
Price: Moderate•Modern Australian•4.4(47)Every Bill Granger’s restaurant reflects the spirit we like to think of as ‘Australian’: sunny, easy-going and generous.
Bill opened his first restaurant in Sydney’s Darlinghurst in 1993. It soon became loved for its legendary breakfasts, served at the famous central communal table, where locals and travellers, families and friends, continue to be welcomed. Thirty years later, Bill’s relaxed, friendly and infectious joy in good, fresh food has become truly global, and is enjoyed at his restaurants in Sydney, Seoul, Tokyo and London.
Song Bird
Price: Very Expensive•Chinese•4.4(272)Song Bird is open 7 nights. Lunch Friday to Sunday.
Song Bird by chef Neil Perry AM offers a superlative culinary experience that blends the delicate flavours of Cantonese cuisine with the warmth and fragrance of traditional Chinese cooking. Reflecting Perry’s profound appreciation for Chinese culinary traditions, Song Bird’s menu is designed for sharing and is a testament to Perry’s commitment to cooking with fresh, locally-sourced premium produce.
Situated in Sydney’s Double Bay and set over three levels, Song Bird exudes a sophisticated yet welcoming ambience. Housed in the heritage-listed 1960’s masterpiece ‘Gaden House’, designed by architect the late Neville Gruzman, Song Bird's interior immerses guests in contemporary elegance with a subtle nod to Chinese sensibilities.
Neil Perry AM is one of Australia’s leading and most influential chefs. He has been the Food, Beverage & Service Director at QANTAS for 25+years, creating one of the best dining experiences in the sky.Bartiga
