- RRICHARDChicago / Illinois •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoAnother wonderful meal at probably our now favorite Door County restaurant. John, our server, is always so attentive and pleasant. The food here is amazing from appetizers to desserts. For a salad, the Lyonnaise is probably the best I have had anywhere. The acidity of the dressing just sets the whole thing off! We enjoyed our Razor Clam appetizer immensely and both entrees. I don’t usually do Fish Fry meals, but if you’re going to have one, have it here! The pastry chef is a goddess and always has the most amazing offerings. Thanks again!More infoChives - Baileys HarborPrice: Very Expensive• American• Baileys Harbor•4.8
- CCarlVIPWisconsin •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoIt was the perfect evening for a pre-Valentine’s Day dinner. Easy parking and a short walk into the spacious restaurant which was not crowded and more quiet than usual. In spite of the Valentine specials, we ordered our usual favorite fare. Lobster bisque for me and potstickers and crostinis for my wife. Thereafter a medium rare filet with a twice baked potato for me and the lobster dinner for her. I had a fabulous Decoy Merlot while she had one of the house specialty drinks. I topped my dinner off with a chocolate martini. Jovan was our very fine and attentive waiter. It was a lovely and very romantic evening. All compliments and no complaints.More infoCHOPPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Sister Bay•4.7
- CcindyVIPDenver / Colorado •19 reviews5.0Dined on 6 Feb 2025A perfect evening! Our waitress was cordial and very attentive, without being intrusive. The ambiance was delightful and I don’t think I’ve ever felt more relaxed in a restaurant. The “Simple Salad” with lemon vinaigrette and shaved manchego was fresh and could easily have been shared by two. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Delmonico ribeye which was well seasoned and juicy. I am going to be dreaming about my lobster and crab stuffed shrimp until we return in the summer. This restaurant is an absolute “must dine here” place. Our new favorite in DC!More infoBarringer's RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• American• Fish Creek•4.8
- CCaseyChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined on 4 Jan 2025My family has been coming to Door County since I was a child and we have seen the progression of restaurants in Door County over the years. The Blue Bear/Della Porta in Ellison Bay is leading a new direction for Door County. Local farm to table food executed in a delicious and simple way is priceless. You can taste the love that goes into the food and service. Definitely going to return many more times.More infoBlue Bear Ellison BayPrice: Moderate• American• Ellison Bay•4.7

Discover Escanaba
Escanaba, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, is a great place to enjoy some delicious local foods. The waterways and wildlife aren't the only attractions; locally owned restaurants, vineyards and breweries are a big draw. Sample the local award-winning microbrews or explore the region's finest vintages. Abundant delicacies pair well with your beverages.. The pasty, basically a portable beef stew, is a savory, flaky pie that dates back to its mining roots in Cornwall, England. Any dish with freshly caught fish is worth a try too. Other highlights are the jams, jellies, and preserves made from the berries grown nearby. The thimbleberry jam is unique to the area and is a perfect pairing with the hot fresh bread served alongside it in Escanaba cafes and bakeries.
