He gave us time to enjoy our beers and to look over the menu. He kept good watch on his tables and arrived at the right moment to take our food order. Mrs. B and I both ordered the burger with cheese and fries. The food came out and was excellent. The place was extremely busy. but. the great service lasted throughout.More infoLong Trail Brewing CompanyPrice: Moderate• Brewery• Bridgewater•4.7

- DDebbieVIPPhiladelphia County •46 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoHad another great dinner - the menu is varied - quick service - my only suggestion is to offer 1/2 salads - entirely too much kale - the scallop topped salad was awesome - the butternut squash soup was very tasty - my husband enjoyed the salmon entree - The online reservation system is easy to use The flowers for the women were a nice touch Hope to repeat next yearMore infoRoots The RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Rutland•4.8
- LLaurence GPhiladelphia County •6 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had a special dinner at the tavern. It is a warm and inviting space. The food is quite good. My wife and I both started with the excellent clam chowder. Warning: it is very filling! I had the tacos which were unusual and good, but not as good as the hangar steak my wife had! Alas, we did not have room for dessert. I’m sure we will return.More infoRichardson’s TavernPrice: Moderate• American• Woodstock•4.5
- JJoelGreater Boston •5 reviews5.0Dined on 29 Jan 2025A really spectacular meal! My wife and I started with the Vermont Artisan Cheese Tasting. The cheeses and the "embellishments" were almost a meal onto themselves. We then split the 14 ounce Ribeye. Also delicious! The cocktails were on par. I enjoyed the Corpse Reviver #2 and my wife enjoyed the vodka Collins. Ashley was a great waitstaff! Her suggestions worked out perfectly. We are light eaters but splitting those 2 dishes was quite filling. The Red Rooster stands on its own as a restaurant and isn't just a "hotel restaurant". We were staying at the Woodstock Inn so a bonus not having to go outside for dinner!More infoRed Rooster at The Woodstock Inn and ResortPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Woodstock•4.6
Discover Killington
One of the most popular destinations for skiers and other mountain enthusiasts, Killington offers some of the best views and dining in Vermont. Rustic taverns and lodges specialize in comfort foods made with local products. With the dairy farms in the region, many dishes use locally sourced cheeses and creams as a key ingredient. If you're in the mood for something more exotic, then you can head to a tapas bar for small plates and a cocktail or enjoy fresh sushi at a Japanese eatery. For something hearty after a day on the slopes, grab a table at one of the local steakhouses or burrito spots. Don't forget to finish your meal by ordering a maple-flavored treat.
