You can’t go wrong with Louisiana Lagniappe! I’ve only been there 2 times but both times had great service and the food tasted amazing! Wish it was a bit cheaper but what you pay 💰for, is what you get right. Grouper Fish Entrees are always great! Grouper Pontchartrain is excellent and I got the Bayou Grouper last night! It was me and my girlfriend’s anniversary and I requested a Window Table and got it which was nice and they gave us a Complimentary Dessert for Free also! Bread Pudding was delicious 😋 , highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion!

We dined here for Valentine’s Day 2025 and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is tucked back behind the road which is why I’d never seen it. It was really busy since it was Valentine’s Day- but we still didn’t wait too long. Maybe 10 or 15 minutes. We had reservations obviously. My husband was upset because people who just came in were seated before we were but I think they were probably waiting outside. The waitress seated us outside when we had asked to be inside. There was a heater and a tent and it was a relatively nice evening so we didn’t complain. Maybe we should have. Hubby was seated by the outer wall of the tent and he said he was cold. They had a fixed prix menu which looked good but when we discovered we didn’t have to order off of it, neither of us did. I appreciated that. I prefer to have personal choice. They don’t have bread for the table and we were super hungry. So I thought I’d order a soup. They don’t offer that either. We might have ordered an appetizer but the waiter didn’t suggest one and rushed off. So we just sat there being hungry until our food came. Food was quick coming to the table but I found out why. I had a crab legs boil (they were plentiful and good) but the corn and potatoes were ice cold. I didn’t complain because the crab was good and I was hungry. No bread remember. Hubby had shrimp scampi and he liked it. We chose the brownie dessert & it was plentiful & good. The prices were reasonable and was only about $100. The only fly in my ointment was that they marked us a no show on OpenTable. Maybe because it was crowded and they sent us a text for seating which I didn’t read and went to the desk and was seated right away. Later I saw that I was marked a no show and went to read the text and it said hit the 1 button If you’re here. Which I didn’t do. But that doesn’t mean I wasn’t there. Hopefully that will get straightened out. That’s probably why I included all the negatives. 5 stars.

Dinner was excellent (fried green tomatoes and crab appetizer, ribeye steaks and grits, crème brûlée and cherry bread pudding for dessert, tawny port and rose, unsweetened tea and coffee). Jessica did a great job as our waitress. The music was a bit odd. The furniture on the lower level was new and comfortable. The chairs, however, could not be easily brought close to the table which made seating my wife and myself awkward. Valet parking was excellent. It is covered and you will never get wet, even in a monsoon. It is a great feature of this restaurant.

Discover Orange Beach

First documented by Columbus sailors in 1507, Orange Beach is now a pleasant vacation town on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. Known for its 32 miles of sugar-white beaches and gentle surf, Orange Beach has become a tourist haven. What do all these visitors eat? While there are traditional Southern American-style restaurants that serve fried egg, bacon and grits for breakfast, the main cuisine of the area is seafood. Appetizers such as firecracker shrimp and inventive crab cakes will tantalize your palate, preparing it for the main event. A local seafood special called the Amberjack attracts many diners. Fresh crabmeat tops a bed of cremini mushrooms, peppers and onions, all covered with a mild beurre blanc sauce. A hearty serving of real mashed potatoes accompanies this delicious main dish.
