- MMaggieIndiana •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOur family of vegetarians/vegans enjoyed a Christmas Eve early 4pm dinner upstairs overlooking the street---such a great table! Although there is usually only one veg/vegan main option offered, the veg sides we ordered as one meal were deliciously-seasoned, perfectly-cooked and yummy (brussels sprouts, cauliflower and french fries). The vegan offering on the main menu of shitake and wild rice was unique and possibly the best vegan entree I have ever had at Cafe Navarre. Our server was knowledgeable, helpful with menu options we could eat and suggesting adjustments chef could make, and attentive at a perfect level. Wines were great; my vodka cocktail was tasty but seemed a little light on the vodka. A very pleasant experience as always at Cafe Navarre :)More infoCafe NavarrePrice: Expensive• American• South Bend•4.8

Discover Mishawaka
Mishawaka is named after Princess Mishawaka, the daughter of Shawnee Chief Elkhart. Nestled along the banks of the St. Joseph River, the neighborhood boasts a rich history, and its culinary offerings are just as rich. Within a few blocks, you'll find ocean fresh Japanese fusion, tender steaks and pork chops served amid Tiffany lamps and antique stained glass windows. Even the local chain eateries feel like a home away from home, and American drive-thru restaurants make appearances at local county fairs with sirloin tip sandwiches, mashed potatoes and green beans that can compete with the best. A wonderful way to relax after a satisfying meal in Mishawaka is to stroll along the popular Riverwalk.
