- MMelissaVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •10 reviews5.0Dined on 28 Feb 2025One of the most enjoyable meals we've had in Amsterdam. The staff was so attentive and welcoming from start to finish. The food...the lava stone cooking was new to us but so fun and engaging for our meal. I had the tomato soup which was full of flavor and texture. I don't think I've had as Wonderful a meal in Amsterdam. Highly recommend.More infoDAY'S StoneGrill 1870Price: Moderate• Steakhouse• Grachtengordel•4.4

Discover Haarlemmerbuurt
There are great shops throughout Amsterdam, but the two main drags in this area—Haarlemmerstraat and Haarlemmerdijk—are well-known for the eclectic nature and overall quality of their boutiques and restaurants. Longtime staples sling classic diner-type breakfasts each day, while inventive Dutch eateries raise the bar with special tasting menus and creative combinations of flavors. Some of the city’s best coffee shops are in the neighborhood, as well as those other types of coffee shops. Whatever your buzz, just remember to save room for some local, fresh ice cream—the long lines cue you into their popularity, even in winter.
