- GGailNew York City •1 review4.0Dined 1 day agoThis is the second time I’ve eaten at Blue Mezze. The $59 Thanksgiving special was a great deal for my friend and me! The appetizers are delicious; red lentil soup, Greek salad, and babaganoush. The turkey was unconventional for Thanksgiving. It was sort of mixed in with rice, but very tasty. The dessert of cold baklava is also unconventional, but delish! The special also included a glass of wine or beer. The menu may not appeal to everyone for Thanksgiving, but if you’re willing to try something a little different, it’s great value for the money. Service is friendly and efficient.More infoBlue Mezze BarPrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Upper East Side•4.5

Discover Upper East Side
Just a few years back, the stately neighborhood near Central Park was mostly stale, white-tablecloth spots with very little to attract the foodie set. Well, times have changed, and the area has a slew of fresh places to experience. Not-too-fancy French brasseries include favorites without the stuffiness, California-inspired fish tacos bring a golden glow to winter afternoons, and creative tavern fare undo the top button. But since this is the UES, there are still high-end sushi institutions. Uptown is still refined in its inimitable way, it’s now just a bit more accessible and vibrant, just like a foie gras mini taco.
