- RRobertaSacramento / Sacramento Valley •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe were celebrating an early family Christmas and had never been to Monkey Cat, as we are new in the area. Loved the name, liked the look of the food offered and especially, liked the extensive and unique drink menu. Service was excellent and even brewed a pot of decaf coffee for our DD! Recommend the Luxardo Old Fashioned and the Green Eyed Girl cocktails. Monkey Cat featured my family's favorite Gin - Hendricks and Sazerac Rye Whiskey. Only drama was finding parking in this busy area on a Saturday night. Definitely will be repeat guests there. Try it out!More infoMonkey CatPrice: Moderate• American• Auburn•4.6
- OTOpenTable DinerPortland / Oregon •2 reviews5.0Dined on 29 Aug 2024Again! Best place in Auburn for relaxing outdoor dining. We appreciate the low key and (sort of) quiet ambience. (There’s not much to be done about the freeway noise, but we’re glad there’s no loud music.) We ordered flatbread pizzas and salad, and that kind chef, Adil, once again topped out dinner with a platter of fresh fruit. We LOVE this place.More infoThe TerracePrice: Expensive• American• Auburn•4.8

Discover Auburn
As the gateway to the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains, Auburn, California has a lot to offer in the way of restaurants. From tacos to pizzas, Thai noodles to barbecued meats, there are dozens of choices available. One particular cut of beef, the tri-tip, is especially popular in California and is a must if you try the local barbecue. Also popular is the local farm-to-fork movement. Although Auburn is at the base of the Sierra Nevadas, there are still plenty of options available for anyone looking to eat locally. California is also known for their craft beers. If that’s your scene, the local brewpub may be the perfect place to grab a bite to eat.
