- KKathleenGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWe stopped at Downtown Crossing for dinner before a show. The service was great. Colin, our waiter, was attentive and knowledgeable. I have a food allergy and he was able to offer alternatives to protect me. My meal was brought out separately so as to avoid any cross-contamination. The Manager was personable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. We will return there the next time we go into town. The prices were very reasonable, the food was excellent. We truly enjoyed ourselves.More infoLegal Sea Foods – Downtown CrossingPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Downtown Crossing•4.5

Everything from the appetizers through to the Baked Alaska was absolutely delish! But what really made our night was our server, Jonathan M. His enthusiasm for the menu was spectacular. He had great recommendations and truly knew everything about every dish or drink. He brought us a few things to try that we didn't even order and he was not wrong about how good they were (the glazed carrots for example...chef's kiss!!). He even sold us on what sounds like a fantastic weekend brunch so we will be back for that without a doubt!!More infoThe Vermilion ClubPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.6

Discover Leather District
Boston is a city rich with diverse neighborhoods offering an eclectic array of activities and dining spots to enjoy. The Leather District is a Boston neighborhood made up of historic warehouse buildings that were used to manufacture leather goods in the 19th century. Within the neighborhood are various seafood restaurants serving lobster dishes, clams, and Boston's best-known dish, New England clam chowder. The area is also home to great French cuisine influenced by the cooking of Julia Child, a resident of Cambridge for over 40 years. Other dining options in the Leather District include small Japanese restaurants, American diners, and imaginative Italian cafes. Contemporary restaurants with award-winning cuisine and live music are also neighborhood favorites.
