Napa Valley Bistro was opened in 2013 by chefs Bernardo Ayala and Ernesto Martinez, (also co-owner of Market in St. Helena). Their friendship and working relationship, which has lasted over 20 years was so successful, they decided to pool their resources and stake a claim in downtown Napa's expanding culinary scene. Their aim was to create their own version of classic world cuisine in a comfortable space where family and community could gather for any occasion. The twist is evident in the menus, which sample fare from around the globe. Guests can choose from traditionally prepared Mexican Empanadas or timeless American favorites like the Lamb Burger and St. Louis Ribs. Other options include Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Chinese Chicken Salad and Seasonal Risotto. Our Wine & Beer List includes local wines leaning toward small producers & craft brews.

    Booked for a group dinner. Recommendations, food quality, price and service were top-shelf! The buttermilk calamari was amazing!! I lived in Monterey and had my fair share of calamari, but this was delicious!

    Very attentive service, one of our guests has a food allergy and the lead server checked in with kitchen twice to assure food prepared with substitution.

    My experiences at Napa Valley Bistro are always excellent. The service is top-notch, the food is delicious, and the environment is cozy and welcoming. The restaurant and its staff go out of their way to care for their customers.

    Food and service was amazing, staff was understanding about the large group in seating us as far away as possible from the noise. Definitely would go back.

    We had a lovely dinner with friends and since the restaurant is fairly quiet we were able to dine and hear each other. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was very good. Among us, we had steak and fries, salad, Caesar salad with chicken and a pasta dish. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the fries were great. The Caesar salad comes in two sizes, and I had the small - the chicken was thinly sliced and delicious. This is a lovely neighborhood spot that we have been to numerous times, and we will be back!

    Very Good Wait Service. A bit disappointed the the Fish & Chips entry. Remember it as being better. Will try them again, for sure!

    Had a nice time at their Winemaker's Dinner with Joel Gott Winery! The winemaker that hosted was very personal and always made sure everyone's glasses were full! Food was exceptionally prepared and hot and fresh. Definitely a local gem!

    I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant we started with the veggie garden fries. These were the best I have ever eaten in my life!! Then I had Pan seared sea scallops🤯 they were mind blowing amazing this restaurant’s food I think was the best I had the whole time I was in Napa!! I can’t say enough about it. I will definitely go back and recommend to anyone I know who is going. I loved it so much. I asked to see the chef just to hug his neck and I did
