Honoring classic French cuisine, Mon Ami Gabi is a traditional French bistro located in the heart of Lincoln Park. Our menu features simple French food including Steak Frites, fresh seafood, exquisite bites, and French rolling wine carts. Valet is located at the corner of Lincoln Park West and Belden for $17 cash or Zelle. During the holiday season, for all parties of 9 or more, we ask our guests to call the restaurant directly to book a reservation.

Disappointingly our table was compromised as the table next to us was for two but three were sat and one seat was backed up to our table edge causing our table to be in the pathway of servers and patrons using the restroom.

                                                                                        My wife was a little upset that the food came earlier than she wanted it and her scallops were on the cool side. She had the scallops reheated. Everything for me was perfect. I especially felt my cappuccino was perfect in every way.

                                                                                        Mon Ami Gabi is my go-two place for a lovely, special, celebratory dinner. Decorated for Christmas, it is especially beautiful, and the staff is routinely helpful and attentive. Last evening the food was a little disappointing. My lobster bisque was not as warm as I would have liked it, and my dinner partner's Mushroom and Jarlsberg en Croute was also nothing special, but as it was the only thing available for a non-fish eating vegetarian, that was the choice. But I'll be back.

Their steak frites are unreal—so delicious and just like the ones we've had in Paris. Everything on the menu is great, and the service is always spectacular. Perfect for date nights, special occasions, family dinners, etc.

                                                                                        This is truly walking into Escoffier's Ritz but in a quiet nook of Chicago. The mood, lighting and vibe set the tone for our night. Our waiter Micah had the absolute gift of gab, personality and patience. Meal wise, their salmon tasted like it was shipped direct, paired nicely with a world of flavors. However the steak missed the mark. I battled with my medium rare cut as sometimes life gifts you a lemon. Thankfully their “Aviation” specialty spirit lifted me up from the chew trenches. All-in-all, what a cool space and experience.
