Led by chef and owner Hector Diaz, Modesto features a farm to table approach to upscale wood-fired Italian. The menu changes twice daily and includes a variety of fresh seafood, fine meats, and house made pastas. Pizzas are hand-tossed and cooked in a wood fired oven made in Italy. To compliment your meal, our bar offers over 30 exclusively Italian wines as well as a dynamic list of classic and cutting edge cocktails. Desserts are made from scratch, including our famous tiramisu, and we proudly serve SRO Coffee.

    Modesto is simply our favorite Asheville restaurant. Chef Hector's creativity and quality of the food is always outstanding. The lunch menu might be the best bargain in town!

    Delicious food and wine. Darren is a wonderful server. The portions are generous. Caesar salad crab cakes was yummy Salad is very large. Calamari great, flounder great, Diver scallops too. All desserts amazing

    Delicious meal with excellent service. Enormous portions allowed us to have food to enjoy the next day at home. Loved the unique Caesar salad! Beautiful interior space. Will return soon and bought gift card to give to a best friend as a holiday gift.

    We had a reservation for 11:15 but when we arrived, the restaurant was not open and we were rudely treated by the staff. Left the restaurant and went to another restaurant, drove by about 1:00 PM and it was open.
