Restaurant was 35 minutes late in seating our group. The host stand was a mess, it seemed that there were both too many and too few people working the host stand. It seemed that everyone who was working the host stand was not communicating with each other. Carlos, who was training, told us that he was going to check on something, and they never returned to communicate with us. When we were finally seated, our server Daniel greeted us within 30 seconds of us sitting. After asking out water preferences, he immediately asked what if we were ready to put in our drink orders. We had been sitting for 30 seconds and did not even have time to look at the drink menu which was incredibly annoying. When we said we were good with water for the time being, again because we didn’t have time to look at the menu, he collected all the menus. He then returned 5 minutes later notifying us that they also served cocktails, but that they weren’t on the menu. He verbally told us the cocktails which was 1) difficult to hear in the restaurant, and 2) hard to remember what he was saying because I was trying to hear all the choices before deciding. Also I don’t know why he didn’t tell us about the cocktails when he originally asked us about drinks. Food was fine, the fries are overcooked and not just crunchy, they are hard. When we finished our meal, we had staff slowly pre clear our table as we finished. We sat for about 15 minutes with no one interacting with us, and we were looking for Daniel because we didn’t see him on the floor and we were ready to leave. We look out the window and he’s rolling silverware with the trainee Carlos. We gave him a few minutes because we thought he’d eventually come back inside to check in with us. He did not. I had to flag someone else down to close out. While we waited for someone else to run our bill, we thought that by this point he’d be back to check on us. He was not. We signed the bill, and left. What a mess of a restaurant.
