One of the world’s most laid-back, bohemian towns, Portland Oregon is famous for craft beer, cheap food, beautiful forests and much, much more. Overall, the city is incredibly easy to fall in love with. And, it’s no secret that the nightlife here is one of the main attractions. If you’re looking for a cool place to meet friends, we’ve got you covered with our Tastemaker List of the best bars in Portland.

Haven't been here for thirty years and brought my cousin who liked the view from the Chart House who I guessed would appreciate the view from the Bank Corp Tower's thirtieth floor. The pork belly appetizer was interesting. Excellent clam chowder. Brought the blackened shrimp home to dilute the spicy noodles with some romaine. Not to worry, we had a lovely lunch, identified the bridges, and enjoyed the outstanding service.

South American
Southwest Portland
Lechon, located on SW Naito Parkway, is a South American dining experience that combines the cooking of Argentina, Chile, and Patagonia. The menu features dishes like 28-day dry-aged ribeye, grilled octopus with chorizo, and housemade piquillo pepper and pork empanadas. It’s a beautiful space to dine and offers a view of the Willamette River that few Portland restaurants can offer. The bar is lively and energetic and they offer fantastic cocktails like La Garra, a spirited ‘punch’ for your enjoyment.

Great attitude, excellent service and fabulous dishes. Overall, it was great time at Lechon! Just one thing to consider, the Rib Eye Steak is overpriced. However, is very tasty!

This neighborhood establishment is a mainstay in Pearl District and Portland locals consider it the go-to for easy drinking, a variety of awesome eats and overall good times. They have ongoing events that keep people coming through the doors and it’s a great mix of first-timers, visitors and regulars.
