   Food was good but the service ruined the experience. Despite asking for water from the moment we sat down, we were not given it until after we ate our appetizer and even after the entrees were already served. Multiple people (3 actually) had to be asked for butter with our bread which did not again arrive until after served with the appetizer and the entree courses. Multiple people again had to be asked for a steak knife because my boyfriend was about try to cut his meat with the butter knife. This was on the waitress and the other two men we asked for assistance which I believe were waiters. It was the bus boy who was the best and gave us the steak knife shortly after being asked--but he was the third person we asked for it and by twenty minutes later the lamb chops were no longer warm. This was not an issue with the bus boy, but rather the waitresses and waiters. Why go here if the food at 388 is better and their wait staff phenomenal, which is where we ate the night before? There were other small issues as well, being asked for my entree choice without being told the specials etc. However, none of these things would have mattered to me on their own... it was just the totality of them all together which just made the experience unenjoyable. Even the pesto dipping sauce on the bread was saltier than usual, which my boyfriend agreed upon. The restaurant was uncomfortably too warm making me want to eat less. And none of this was due to our waitress being too busy. She was casually walking around filling up every other table's water with second servings of water in the glasses of every table when I had to point out to her (with my entree already in front of me) that we still never even received water glasses for the water I asked for since we sat down earlier that night. I have been going here for years but neither I nor my boyfriend is eager to return.

   Overall the food was delicious. The Veal Marsala was very chewy but the chicken dishes were excellent.

   Service, food and drink were excellent. Portions were large and delicious. There were free soda refills. Bread and dipping sauce were delicious .

    We usually go on Sunday evenings, but this Sunday was exceptional as it was packed! So naturally the service was a little slower and it was noisier than normal. The food quality was excellent as usual which is the most important! So it really was a non issue that it was busier and louder than normal. Still an excellent value and would highly recommend!
