Located at the heart of Hanover Street, Lucia Ristorante is an institution in Boston's North End. Opened in 1977, Lucia was the first restaurant to bring authentic Italian cuisine to Boston's oldest neighborhood. We continue to combine traditional Italian favorites with innovative new dishes in our distinctive atmosphere. Ample summertime patio seating is available in the newly bricked courtyard of our neighbor, St. Stephen's Church.

Honestly, the fresh pasta and marinara was basically heaven all by itself. The only meh item was the fried cheese app, which came luke warmish, as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Would not order again. Would reorder everything else: house salad, chicken something or other with olives, anchovies, artichokes, asparagus, and sun dried tomatoes; came with a house salad. Nommy bread, good wine list, perfectly reasonable prices, esp considering portions.

                                                                                                        Went for dinner and the service was very slow and the foods was nothing fantastic. Had a reservation and still had to wait for a table. We ordered drinks and apps. The apps came out before our drinks. When dinner arrived it wasn't anything to brag about. The veal parm came out burnt and the pasta was just so so.

                                                                                                        Very good spot in the North End for scratch-made Italian dishes and fresh ingredients. Dined on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was only half full, so the service was prompt and the food was prepared very quickly. All of the entrees ordered - a mix of pasta and seafood dishes - came with healthy portion sizes across the board. Only real gripe was that our server didn't offer much when asked for recommendations, which was disappointing since the restaurant wasn't busy, but it was a good experience none the less. Would recommend and visit again.
