We’ve booked for a friends 34th birthday. When received the host was not to happy with having to cancel a second table. After that hurdle the service and staff was amazing.

Took my wife for a nice dinner. Food was amazing as usual. The server was exceptional, I did not get her name however she made sure that our night was pleasant. Kept checking in on us, making sure we didn’t need anything. All in all, we had a great night. This is one of our favourite restaurants to eat at, especially the intimacy that it offers. We will be back. Only con, was I had made a special request and no one said anything to me about it!

We were hungry so we ordered the seafood pasta...sadly there were 3 medium shrimp, 8 bay scallops, and some mushrooms on a not too large serving of properly cooked spaghetti pasta...I asked for parmesan cheese and was happy to have a bowl of grated parmesan brought to the table. It added a nice flavour to the dish. However, it was still a very small portion for $34.00. Our request for ice cream for dessert was delivered as 3 balls of vanilla with a little chocolate syrup added but the charge was $16.00 per serving. Our wine was over $100.00 and so our total bill for a simple meal was $200.00 plus with a tip.

The location of the restaurant is excellent. I enjoyed the service; the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was very good, with flavors that exceeded expectations. The prices range from average to high, but they were fair given the quality of the dishes. The service could be more proactive in offering suggestions and providing explanations about the dishes, combos, and combinations. The restaurant could improve its organization at the entrance to ensure a smoother experience for guests. My overall experience at the restaurant was very good, and I would recommend it to others for its great location and delicious food. With a few improvements, it could be even better.

9e is an elegant yet relaxed restaurant, with excellent servers, very polite and respectful, and beautiful background music from several cultures and time periods. Our meals were simple yet perfectly prepared (an omelette for my friend, and beer-battered cod with greens for me). We celebrated with a glass of prosecco, and shared a wonderful dacquoise, a decadent chocolate cake with a praline outer layer, and rich cream to spoon on the top. A great treat for us both!
