L O C A L was conceptualized by chef_owner Tracy Miller, in 1998. with the inspired vision of becoming a local establishment in Dallas serving a seasonally inspired modern american menu. We are located in the spirited, soulful + historical Boyd Hotel, circa 1911, in Deep Ellum, TX.

Our culinary approach consistently embraces a menu that welcomes the simplest, most honest ingredients available. We are always eager to share our fondness of quality driven products and we stay true to who we are while preparing food that makes us happy.

Local has become one of our favorite restaurants in the area! The chef is amazing at the food she produces. We love everything about this place. While it does not have a full bar (no hard liquor but wine and sake are prevalent), it makes up for it in what is available to drink and the pairings with food. Can’t wait to go back there!

Was surprised that the place was not busier. The food was outstanding and the service was good too. The team seemed a little apprehensive, but came through with great recomendations and a great night for us all.

Restaurant was outstanding but want to start with a warning about parking. Would avoid using the lot next to the restaurant. We’re paid for parking through the app but it’s set up deceptively to make you think you’ve paid for dinner. The lot owner monitors and boots your car while your at dinner. Cost $130 to remove. Meanwhile no problem for the paid street parking. Creed was lovely and has a great menu that is well crafted and tasty. On point service and other than the parking was a great meal and atmosphere.
