The waiter was very professional and well versed and experienced. The Halibut was a little dry but the 3 other meals were perfect. The seafood pasta was light in sauce and not overwhelming like other places. Just right and not too creamy. Salads were amazing Pricing was a little high mostly due to high alcohol costs. for example, the Rombauer should NOT be $40 a glass when you can buy a bottle of it at the store for that. We had 3 drinks and 4 cmplete meals without appetizers for $519. You can compare from there.

We are excited to be open and serving our guests both indoors and in our outdoor dining area (it's covered and heated!)

Our hours of service are from 11:00am to 8:00pm. We are currently closed Mondays. Seating is on a first come, first seated basis. We are not currently taking reservations. Our bar is open and pouring your favorite cocktails, beer and wine for you to enjoy with your meal, or during any wait.

We used to visit this restaurant when they had one in Los Angeles on Wilshire Boulevard. Sadly, that is closed many years ago and this is the only one left. Yes it’s a 2 1/2 hour drive on a Friday night to get there, but it’s definitely worth the drive. The food is exceptional. The tortillas are freshly made with orange honey butter And the combo plates are the way to go. We had a really nice server. Her name was Cynthia and she was outstanding. I love this place and will make the drive as often as I can because it’s worth it. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic restaurant and a fantastic dinner. We had multiple apps, along with some mains, and dessert and coffee. We had a two hour dinner and it was fantastic. (but plenty of people were in and out much quicker than we were). Definitely has a bit of a spot vibe, but at the same time there were a few families with kids, lots of older people, people in their 20s, basically the demographic and ages was all over the map. Great restaurant. Will return.

This was our first time at Farmhouse at Roger's Gardens, and we fell in love. The twinkling lights everywhere made my heart happy. The boys loved the burger and fries, and even the ketchup was made in-house! I had the pizza of the day, a prosciutto and Honeycrisp apple concoction that was delightful and delicious. Who knew apples worked on a pizza?!? My daughter had the half Jidori chicken, which was juicy and tender, and a large enough portion that she took half of it home with her. We also sampled two desserts, the lemon tart and apple crisp. Both were amazing, but the apple crisp was our favorite of the two. I definitely will be back and highly recommend this spot for a satisfying farm-to-fork meal.

Dined here on a busy Wednesday evening. There was a promotion this day, Enchilada Wednesday, and all Enchilada entrees were 50% off. My friend and I each had the Crab and Shrimp Enchilada entree. We both enjoyed our meals. My friend noticed there was not much crab though. She also requested to replace the rice with vegetables, the server said it can be done, but with a $4 surcharge. My friend had a Watermelon Margarita, and I had a glass of Sangria. We both enjoyed our drinks. We had Flan for dessert, and it tasted great. The server, Yvette, was friendly and efficient. There was very limited parking at arrival at 6 pm, and had to park a distance away. The total tab with tax and tip on this visit was $93.

Brought my parents and grandmother who were visiting from out of town. The service was incredible as always. The food was absolutely perfect. In 1912, at the bend of Forest Avenue, 23 year old Joe Jahraus opened the Laguna Lumber Company, he and his father(cigar maker, first postmaster and real estate agent) built the beautiful French Normandy building that is here today. Prior to the lumberyard opening, building supplies needed to be dragged in by mule or floated in on the tides, and therefore, Laguna Beach had less than three hundred permanent residences. After the lumberyard opened, the area began to grow at unprecedented rates, transforming it from a tent town into a thriving city. Laguna Lumber operated for seventy three years, sixty two of them in this location and its' architecture, influenced by Joe's tour abroad in World War I, is one of the most significant influences on the town's aesthetic. Half timbers, mud walls and shingled roofs grace many of the downtown storefronts and homes throughout the city because of this landmark. Today, 384 Forest is home to Lumberyard - a contemporary American restaurant.

A Family Tradition For Over 90 Years

Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes.

Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.

Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only. Thank you in advance for understanding and we are in this together.
